i went to take a shower this morning and in the bathroom sink at the hotel were the two roses i had purchased for amy the night before. they had withered over the course of the night and i attempted to save them by soaking the stems in the sink. however that had no useful effect on them and they continued to wither. so i got to thinking about a story called "Withered Roses" (or something like that) about fading love. i'll have to toy with the idea, see what i come up with, but i'm feeling very creative here right now.

i noticed this last friday while at the airport too. if you want to see humanity, sit in an airport terminal. you catch snipets of conversations, insights into people's lives, and just wonder the relations between people. brother, sister, mother, daughter, son, aunt, uncle, etc the list goes on. i found it absolutely fascinating and it just really awoke the creative urge inside.

hey folks, if you were wondering, yes the new album by and you will know us by the trail of dead is absolutely incredible. there's a reason pitchfork gave it a 10.0- it is mind-boggling. and its on interscope- its like 1994 all over again, when a major label could put out a cutting-edge post-punk album! and it will be just like '94 when the album sells a hundred thousand copies (which is mind-boggling for indie labels, but spare change for a major) and the band gets dropped! well, as much as i hate limp bizkit, go buy source tags and codes regardless of what label its on.
