this is pretty rad! apparently a lot of people have started sponsoring children as a result of the movie About Schmidt- not only is it a great movie, its also getting people involved in the world.

also, i just saw gabe's last post... i wonder about the same things with regards to self-defense, however, especially now that I'm married, if someone broke in and was threatening us, I would shoot them. no doubt. every action has a reaction, and the reaction to breaking into my house will not be pleasant.

i honestly think i could watch Taxi Driver once a week and not get tired of it.

oh yeah - while driving home from work last night, a song came on the radio. it was heavy rock, for sure, and for the first thirty seconds i was about 95% sure it was an AC/DC song... the singer was "sing/screaming" in that AC/DC way about "You've been drinking, I've been thinking, You've been..." etc...

it was only til the chorus that i realized it was an Audioslave song, and it was in fact Chris Cornell singing, not the guy from AC/DC!

the more i play it, the more i like the game of Go. if you'd like to learn, get the 9x9 freeware game, and then try some Go Problems!

managed a 202 in my third game last night... i had a 142 in the eighth frame, and then i threw four straight strikes to end the game... i didn't realize that, hey, its the end of the game and thats 60 points in two frames, even after i threw my third strike of the tenth frame, i was only expecting to get a 160 or 170... moral is, don't ask me to add any numbers for you.
