another one bites the dust. mr. mood is now a motorcyclist. welcome to the club butty. i've got the perfect route picked out for us over lunch. it'll be a BLAST!
things that are allright: recording a good demo and having it sound good. not living in dale anymore. starting a good book (cold mountain). oh yeah, and getting this:

Things I love:
Coming down my street on my bike while the kids are waiting for their bus and having them stare at me on my bike. Then giving them a little show and opening throttle up on the bike.

Things that aren't nice:
Being woken up by a neighbors stereo at 4:20 in the morning playing Led Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven. Mind you, it was so loud that you could actually hear the words. This continued until 5 AM and then stopped and resumed at 6:34 AM. Should this happen again, the Oakland police will be receiving a phone call.

indeed it is a good idea. i keep thinking about what another bike is going to feel like. when i get on mine, i feel in control and at ease. it moves and manuvers like i want it to but lacks only one thing. the power to cruise at ease at highway speeds. if highway speeds were what they were 30 years ago, this bike would be perfect, however, when you need to move at 70+ on the highways...it really isn't fun riding the bike. but i think about how well the Legend would handle...and just not sure if it would be as nimble. reminds of a song "doubts even now"
paul, you've got the right idea! together, with your fleet of motorcyles and my fleet of older, unattractive cars, we can rule this town with a lead foot! i guess the trick with keeping an old item (bike, car, amp, guitar) is that you don't recoup anything towards the new(er) item. if you can swing it, do it.

i myself went riding yesterday- on my mountain bike. i think it was the first time in two years that i rode it, and it felt good. course, from now on i'll be wearing a helmet... you never know when a steep trail will get muddy.
out riding around felt really good yesterday. it's nice to feel the turns again. it makes me contemplate if i even want to get rid of this bike or not. perhaps i'll just buy another bike instead.

well, bowling went pretty good...a nice 477 series and we won all 3 games putting our record at 35 wins and 4 losses. played what i think is the hardest team to play against and came out on top with 3 wins. altho they came darn close the 2nd game but we came from behind to win by 5 pins...a close one indeed! hats off to them...but this means now we've clinched first place for this half of bowling....so we can lose every game but still come out in first place....incredible.

in other news i'm waiting on the bike until july. i need to see what kind of stability that work is going to provide for the next fiscal year. if what i hear is true, i really don't want to start making any new "investments" such as a motorcycle until i'm certain i'll have a job for another two years. so i keep watching eBay for more "affordable" triumph legends ..yaay
