so there was some serious fire drill here this morning...geeze..i love coming in at quarter til 8 and seeing I have a voice mail.....oh well...tis the life..

but i had just remembered some of this dream i had last night...and wow was it a doosey. apparently i was out riding with some friends of mine on motorcycles. well, we happen apon this diner for a resting spot. well, we meet this group of guys who are super sport racers and are doing wheelies and acting like squids. so one of our group starts talking with these people...i have feeling this is scott because he just has this aire about him...you know...the "i can logically argue with these people and WIN" kind of thing. So i guess he starts debating bikes and why people tend to not like sport bike riders with these people and is making valid points and they are seeing the light.

well...two of the kids are playing chicken on the road in front of the eatery. and it's right in the middle of a turn. their goal is to sit near the yellow line and see if people react quick enough to miss them. So along comes a greyhound bus around the turn...it narrowly misses one of the guys and one the fellow actually smacks his hand off of the front of the bus.

Well, we all say our goodbyes as we leave and I head on down the road by myself and as i make the turn around this one corner, I see this HUGE amusement park...there's airplanes/helicopter like vehicles and things flying thru the air. I look off to my right and see all kinds of rides and buildings..I can't believe I had never heard of this place before, it was just so huge. Everything seemed to have a Holland-esque theme. Windmills, tulips...etc. I turned into this place, I wanted to take a look around. For some odd reason there was this hill slide.....essentially it was a steep grassy hill and you slid down it. I went up and there were about 12 kids were lined across the top of the hill just covered in mud. apparently what they did was water down the hill and you just slid on your back or your stomach down the hill. I walked up to the top of the hill and there was like a judege's booth there and about 8 old people were there watching the youth slide down the hills. In the booth were pictures of these people from days of "Hill Sliding Competition" Men and Ladies alike were posed in amongst yellow tullips in a team photo.

I met the one gentleman who started this playground. It was at this point I noticed the weather outside to be changing. before it had been a beautiful sunny day, now it was turning colder and greyer outside. he told me that he had the idea to do this place back when he was 27. he had only been married a few years and have a fair amount of assets to pay for the land and the rides. he figured if walt disney could do it, so could he. he built it and almost went bankrupt at first..but then it got better and he said lately things have not been so good. not many families come around anymore. it upset him greatly, he was very proud of what he had created and it was so visible how much it upset him. we parted and i continued to look around. the further I went thru the park, I started to notice that it's size had decreased from when I had first seen the place. I was rounding a building which seemed to be a ride of some sort. it was like a house and it just moved up and down as a story was told. there were many children inside the building and the operator was a machine, actually, it was Teddy Ruxpin who was narrating to the children. they were not interesed and looked very bored with Teddy. I felt bad for the old man. He had worked hard and all he has is outdated machinery and characters that no one wants anymore. it was at this point where the weather was now misting with wet snow. the kind that is slush as it falls. not fluffly or has actual flakes, but more of a rain/snow mix. it was laying heavy on the ground now..probably about an inch and my feet were getting very wet. i took my shoes and socks off and put on some odd plastic devices and proceeded to walk on top of the mess that was around me.

that was pretty much it for the dream. kind of odd how it progressed along....
