MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Friday, December 21, 2001

when i leave the theaters doors
or pack my drums from another towns floors
i feel allright, i feel okay.

when i swipe my laminated badge
and climb the stairs to my cubicle space
i find that i feel nothing but hate.

yeah, i call upon the damnation of advertisers who are now using layers for other sites. take a look at weather.com now and notice the annoying adds that cover the screen. boy that's annoying.

now, it's poem time...

The EmpTea

what once was hot
now is not
it is cold as the air
drink it i cannot

hot from the beginning
it has lost it's race to burn
it now festers and turns cold
cold to the touch, cold to the taste

when it starts as such
it quenches the parched soul
in many a flavour it does
but now, it is a scowl

for once was hot
now is not
i shall brew yet another
and will continue on again against the cold in a hopeless loss.
what is this stuff that falls from the sky? it is not rain like that which fell last night.

gabe, I saw lord of the rings last night, and i will not reveal one bit, not one. but i will say that this movie has attoned for the pathetic wastes of time that were the phantom menace and the planet of the apes remake... and i intend to see fellowship of the ring at least three more times in the theater.
what wonderful sight did i see this fine morning? why yes, i saw SNOW!! seeing it just confirms how much i really do like the stuff..and it makes me feel like singing christmas songs

wow, so productivity is nil today. just feel like reading a lot of WWII stuff. I bet a lot of people had never heard of the Dresden Firebombing before. Rather interesting. Look it up. But while I was looking that up, I found a war correspondant's name mentioned and it does ring a bell and I have heard it before. It's Ernie Pyle, pretty interesting reading what was happening on the battlefields of all theatres of the war. Just simply fascinating. We youngin's truly take for granted what our grandparents and people before us did in all the bloody wars.
i will be viewing said film tonight (hopefully) but will not "spill the beans". also, gabe, i was just kidding about tenenbaums in March, i really have no idea when it will start showing around here.

now spinning: rites of spring * end on end. gabe- you will love this album. it is absolutely 100% incredible. guy picciotto on vox & guitar, brendan canty on drums, rites of spring were a pre-FUGAZI band that is credited as being the first "emo" band... which may or may not matter, but what matters is the fact that they are absolutely fantastic.
bad things: coming in at 7 and finding the network down.
really bad things: sitting here for an hour and a half doing nothing but waiting for the bloody network to come up

*sigh* i'm about ready to fall asleep now

hey folks, aint it cool news says the royal tenenbaums rocks you like a hurricane! i think the mixed reviews we've been hearing here and there were from NON wes anderson fans... i imagine it will be a great movie.

shame it won't open in pennsylvania until march.
BY THE POWER OF GREYSKULL......

sorry, i just wanna be like he-man. oo, that sounds like a good song title...
letterman tonight:

Jerome Bettis missed a chance to perform on national television when he didn't play in the 26-21 victory against the Baltimore Ravens Sunday night. But that won't keep the Bus from performing on another big stage tonight when he appears on the "Late Show with David Letterman." Bettis will be the second guest on Letterman's show, along with actor Kevin Spacey. Bettis has missed the past two games with a hip/groin injury, the first time in his nine-year NFL career he has missed back-to-back games. But Coach Bill Cowher said after the Ravens' game that Bettis should be ready play Sunday against the Detroit Lions at Heinz Field.
defragging, un-installing, and re-installing fun was going on yesterday. what fun that was. but hey, the machine is running much better now and my hard drive is only 3% fragmented instead of a whopping 47%. yeah, i'm easily pleased.

lord of the rings will be viewed *hopefully* tonight...it's good to have connections.

Ahhhh Bad Taste, Yes I remember fondly many a childhood day spent with friends watching said cinamatic masterpiece. Now that is a movie that should be viewed by everyone just once. Forget this Lord of the Rings BS and follow a different fellowship into the world of Bad Taste. :)

(By the way they have it for rent at Video Update in Westmont just incase you can't fight the demons inside eating away at you to see it)
