uh, scott, i hope you realize that those are indeed spoof ads, and the landover baptist site is very much a spoof. i know there are people in the Christian community with some pretty dumb ideas (ie the classic hippie story where a bunch of long-hairs walk into church on a Sunday morning and are politely asked to leave, because they look too unsavory). however, the landover baptist site is clearly a sarcastic spoof on Christianity ("get your ass to church", yeah, definitely an item you see worn at church functions).

and of course, i knew you'd find a fine Chick publication regarding D&D. how can that guy not have a clue as to the damage he does with his publications? i just don't get it.

from the politically incorrect, "Christianity has been used and mutated to justify the crusades, to justify the inquisition, the torture of infidels, where Christians tortured nonbelievers, Jews and gypsies and whoever else they could dig up". its been abused time and time again... it is still abused, whenever some fanatic bombs an abortion clinic or holds up a "God hates fags" poster. if people would actually pay attention to the New Testament, geez, it would be incredible. "Love the Lord your God, and love your neighbor as yourself." wow! not a lot of room for beatings and beheadings there.
